Gantiel Vensott Engineering Plastic Solutions Pty Ltd offers our customers a complete service when fabricating and manufacturing plastic guarding. Our factory is able to fabricate in Polycarbonate/Lexan, Acrylic/Perspex depending on your individual application. Both easily shaped these products provide a clear view to your products when guarding and they are both a lightweight alternative to steel and glass.

Function/Applications

Utilising our own in-house facilities together with our network of specialized fabricators Gantiel Vensott can offer you a simple sheet of clear plastic (Polycarbonate / Lexan / Acrylic / Perspex) through to a fully finished guard specific to your application. Our team can meet with you and discuss options for guarding a specific area or can duplicate an existing guard which may be damaged. Our plastic fabricating capabilities include bending, gluing, welding, polishing, punching and vacuum forming. Clear, lightweight and dimensionally stable materials can be custom fabricated from rod, sheet and tube stock products. We can also offer an on-site installation of the guards and/or modification of existing guarding to suit your requirements.

Differentiating Features

Polycarbonate (Lexan) GP (General Purpose) - is transparent plastic offering very high impact strength (250 times greater impact resistance than glass) and superior sound insulating properties. Typically used for machine guards to protect operators from pinch points and loose flying objects, polycarbonate GP is also used as viewing panels, switchgear cabinets and pharmaceutical devices. Polycarbonate GP is also available as a stock product in rod, sheet and tube.

Polycarbonate SR (Scratch/Solvent Resistant) - a premium grade transparent material which offers little maintenance for cleaning as the material is resistant to chemical attack and physical abrasion. The silicone coating forms a barrier making it ideal in an environment which is exposed to chemical wash down, harsh abrasion for dirt and grime in high access areas. Polycarbonate (Lexan) SR is extremely successful in guarding applications for machines, protecting operators of forklifts, earthmoving machinery and conveyors. Polycarbonate SR is available as a stock product in sheet.

Acrylic/Perspex - a transparent material also available opal, black, white and prismatic. This is great in outdoor applications with excellent resistance to weather/UV. The general applications for acrylic or Perspex include display stands, shelving, partitions and signage. Acrylic is also available as a stock product in rod, sheet and tube.
